Convoluted Borrowing/11 month window question

Okay, we have decided to give in to my 13-yr-olds request and go to WDW for the holidays in 2007, instead of for Halloween.

We have to go end of Nov/first week of Dec, since both DH and I are VERY busy at work closer to Xmas. We have 4 kids, so we need a 2BR.

We plan to book at our home resort at 11 mos, since thinking 7 mos would be sufficient is optimistic to the point of foolishness, to quote my favorite headmaster.

Here is the problem. I am using up my 2007 points for our trip in Feb. We have a Feb use year. I will need to call MS on or about 12/29 for our trip for next year. I plan on day by day, even though we own at SSR, I am not taking the chance.

I will need to borrow from 2008 for this reservation. Will I be able to do the borrowing from 2008 to 2007 UY before Feb??? Or can I make the reservation and then borrow on 2/1/2007?? How does that all work? The first day I call, do I say I need to borrow X amount of points from 2008, and then start the ressie?

ACK!! I thought I had this all figured out. I do understand borrowing in general, I was just not sure if you could borrow into a UY BEFORE that UY actually started, KWIM? Thanks for any help, it is most appreciated.

Just remember the Booking has no bearing with the exception of the 11month and 7month window.

The points used on your trip are only into play for the dates of the trip.But because you are borrowing they will have to do that at the time of booking.

What it boils down to is that you should have no problem doing what you have stated.

And MS will help you with the borrowing and what is needed.

Your stay is in your 2007 use year. You can use banked 2006, current 2007, borrowed 2008, regardless of when you call for the reservation. It all goes by date of stay, not date of reservation.
