Will be staying at the DLH without transportation next month. I know that many neigboring hotels are within walking distance to DL, some even closer than the DLH. I would like to know if there are any convience stores/grocery stores that are also within walking distance, since I'd like to pick up some snacks and pop, at a reasonable price, to have back in our room. Any suggestions, along with directions would be appreciated. TIA

You could have groceries delivered to your hotel room from either Vons or Albertsons online. (Vons requires a minimum of $50 for delivery and Albertsons has no minimum, but they both charge delivery fees.) Lots of DISboard members do that. The hotel will even sign for and hold the stuff for you if you are out of the room. Otherwise, there are little gift shops in the GCH and probably also in DLH and PPH too that have drinks in the back room and some snacks.

Well, I know there is a 7/11 just about a block south of the main entrance on Harbor.

As far as groceries, I do not know what store is the closest. But you could always consider a delivery of groceries from Albertsons or Vons. They are both close, but I do not think within walking distance.

There is a Target Store (it is not a Super Target) that is in Garden Grove, but not far from Disneyland. They sell groceries, from water to milk, tasty snacks, etc. and the pricing is economically conscious. I know that the #1 ART bus from the bus area, at Disneyland, will take you there. Then there is OCTA, (local bus) than can too. I would use ART first, unless OCTA, has timing that may work out better for you, at the time that interests you to visit Target.

There is a convenience store across the street on Harbor to the North less than a block. I can't remember the name of the little store, but I always stop in there for stuff. It has a little of everything - convenience-store-wise.

There's a convenience store at the Desert Inn (I believe that's the one)- the hotel just before the Carousel.

Convenience stores are often translations for inconvenient prices and selection. Ha ha!

The convenience store at Harbor and Katella is an ABC Store - the same company that owns all the convenience stores in Hawaii (or so it seems!).

They usually have fairly reasonable prices, as that is the nature of their particular company's business.
