Converting to annual pass during trip with MBs and free dining package

Has anyone tried it? Can I convert one of ours ( two of us traveling) early in trip, then the other at the end? How will affect the price?
 
I have not done that exactly, but have upgraded tickets to AP's. Should not be a problem. Won't affect the price.
