Okay ... I have 3 adult and 1 kid MYW tickets through my Disney package for tomorrow. I'm thinking of upgrading to an AP.

I figure our 10 day non hopper base passes will have the following value after we use them once. $1,335.51. IF AP's cost $616.31 per person for a total of $2,465.24, then my upgrade to an AP will cost $1,129.73.

Can anyone with a math mind confirm this?

Looks right to me, as long as your base amounts are correct.

Mousesavers has the AP price at $611.31 which would be $2445.24, which would be a difference of $1109.73

Excellent! Revised my numbers, but still flip flopping over what to do!

Unless you are planning on using a LOT of the benefits of the AP, I would ask why? If the 10 days are enough for your stay, and you aren't planning on returning, what do you get for extra money. Yes, you can park hop, (but adding hopper would likely be cheaper), you'll get free parking, but it appears you are staying onsite - will you have a car? You'll get an AP discount on purchases - planning LOTS of shopping at DTD? It doesn't strike me as a very good deal unless you are sure you are returning this year...

Thanks bankr63, you are correct ... no car for me, but I'm covering 18 days in this trip alone. 12 days at POP and 6 at AKL. So the plan was to only hit the parks for 10 days, but this still leaves another 8 at resorts. My Wife might kill me .... If we get an AP we would come back in December and spend another 13 days at AKL (Dec 11 til Dec 24th).

We figure adding 8 more days of park access adds a value of roughly $800, plus the AP functions as a Park Hopper which again nets us over $200 ($57 x 4). I'm just not sure about spending $1,100 now, but having my wife count my beers at the resort doesn't sound that appealing either ...

:cool1:

Im at Disney right now as I am still trying to figure out what I shall do. :)

So jealous that your there now! I say go for it!! If you are there 18 nights now, and a possible next stay in Dec APs make sense.
We have APs because we go around 7 - 10 nights in Jan. & 12 - 14 nights in August. So a minimum of 18 nights a year for us. This year 24 nights. :goodvibes

Okay I went to upgrade to an AP at EPCOT. Pricing information was all wrong. Clearly this CM didn't know the details l needed. Told me it would cost 1400 yikes. So I got out of there as fast as I could. I went to guest services outside of EPCOT and received correct pricing. CM suggested upgrading to hopper and then upgrading later to an AP later to avoid dining credit problems. So I now have hoppers.

Ted.....do thr right thing and get an AP. That way you can use them at the parks, even if it is for a few hours a day and is good for water parks, golfing, Disneyquest and the sports area. Just some added incentive to make that December trip also. Go for it. You only live once!
