My 2 dd's got mp3 players for christmas and now I am tying to load the songs.....all my itunes songs are mpeg 4 files and they won't play. I know there are a bunch of downloads out there to take care of this, are there any you either recommend or would stay away from. Any help with this would be GREATLY appreciated......they are dying to use them! Thanks!

I use a program called Tunebite. It will let you music and video files to many different formats. It works really well.

I did some research on this myself last year. I had a very good experience with the combination of two programs. I am NOT tech savvy at all, and it was easy for me, so it should be easy for anyone.

First, I bought the program 1Click DVD converter. They have other options, but what I wanted to do was to take my DVD's (we have tons of them) and put them on my iPod for watching while I use the elliptical at the gym (it's nice to watch half of a movie while exercising, otherwise I never get time to actually watch movies!).

The program was about $40 or so, and it was well worth it.

After you get the program (I also paid an extra $10 for a disc to be mailed to me), you also go online and download a free program called DVD43. This has to be running in the background, so it just starts up when I start my computer.

Then, the 1Click converts the files to MP4.

I recommend them. I think they may have programs for music, but I didn't try that.

Go online and check to see if there is updated firmware for your MP3 players. There may be a simple download from the manufacturers that may solve the problem. :)

You say iTunes video , so I am not sure if your videos are drm protected, if so, you need a drm removal like Daniusoft Media Converter.

If not, then a regular video converter like iskysoft video converter should do the trick.

I'm guessing if your songs are in mp4s then you downloaded them in itunes. You should just be able to right click them in itunes & click convert to mp3....
