Converting/Combining DVC PAP, gold pass, & UT ticket, & photopass download

I'm sorry for another ticket question, but I just can't seem to wrap my mind around this...

For our Dec '15 vacation, we will be using:
our PAP from Dec 7-14
our 8 day park hoppers, purchased from UT, from Dec 15-22
Planning on upgrading our park hoppers to DVC Gold AP on Dec 22nd (after entering a park).

Questions:
1) Can the UT tickets be changed to DVC Gold AP as RENEWALS (it's 8 days after our expired), or as NEW passes.
2) Concerning the "free" photopass downloads... IF we get the Gold AP on Dec 22nd, will the pictures from Dec 7-22 all be included?
3) Could/Should I "upgrade" a single PAP to a DVC Gold at the start of the trip in order to get the downloads from Dec 7-14th? What price would I pay? (If it matters, we did not use any "premium" aspect of these passes).

I wasn't planning on getting the MM but I'm now thinking that it might be easy/cheap/free to do, so I might.

I can't answer most, but I upgraded to the gold last week. All my photos from last summer as well as those of my "friends" in MDE are there for me to download.
