Convertible for February

I've been checking car rental rates for our Feb trip. It looks like a lot of the specials expire just before we leave (2/12). If anyone hears of any great specials from car agencies at MCO for mid Feb, I would be grateful if you post them! (Years ago, I was able to get a convertible for about $40 more than a sedan for a week. The kids would get a kick out of it if we rented a convertible.) I was going to use $150 in AmEx rewards for the rental, but it looks like we'd have to use it with the full price

Not sure how much luggage you plan on bringing but we tried renting a convertible on our trip this past February and when my husband came to pick us up in it we couldn't even fit half of our luggage it was quite comical! So we left the luggage with the bell hop and took a ride back to the car rental agency. The kids complained of it being too windy the whole 10 minute ride there. We ended up getting an Explorer instead.

You can rent a Sebring Convertible at Dollar, onsite at Orlando Airport, that week for $249 plus tax's. Use promo code KISS. They tell you the size of the trunk and how much luggage will fit.

My convertible suggestion is to also reserve a normal car. Then check the weather. I had thought about renting a convertible for DISCON. WAY too cold so I did not. You don't want to pay extra and then not be able to put the top down.

Your big issue is that you are going during President's Day Week crowd. I would make sure you make a reservation soon. I once had a horrible time getting a car that week and if I had not had a corporate contract it would have been VERY expensive. (It was still not a good deal!)
