Convert package to "room only"?

Hello! I currently have a split-stay (Poly CL/AK CL) coming up in February. We haven't done this before, so when we originally booked, we did a "package" with tickets with the first stay, and room only for the second.

As the trip gets closer, and I understand more, I see there is no benefit right now to having a package. With both stays being CL, we certainly won't add a dining package even if they release it, and the tickets purchased in part 1 of the trip aren't good through the last day of our second stay because they start the day of our arrival, which is not going to be a park day for us.

So I need to break the tickets free from the reservation and get them separately (which I can do at a discount through work - yay!), but I can't figure out how to do this on the website. Any guidance on how to fix this?

Simple answer is you can't via the web. You will have to call and have a CM make the change.

The Package is assigned to the Travel Agency side of Disney and has different terms and conditions. A Room Only reservation has different rules and payment terms.

Another option to consider is to call and just convert your package to a "ticket-less" package and then manage your own tickets.

OP, as Dave006 noted, if you want to modify the current package, you need to call in to do this - ask for a "basic package" which is, essentially, a room-only with package terms and conditions. Your other option is to see if the Poly CL room is currently available as a room-only. If so, you can just book that, under room-only terms and conditions, and cancel your existing package - just make sure to do that prior to the 30-day prior-to-check-in PIF date.

Thanks - they were able to take care of it over the phone and it's now a basic package as you suggested. I am not concerned with needing to PIF before arrival, so I don't see a need to fight with it enough to get it switched to a true "room only" reservation - the room is not available to rebook at the moment, plus there's the refund/re-deposit hassle that doesn't seem necessary.

I appreciate the help!
