Some peopel just don't get it. I mean, "The animal one where they talk and do stuff," does describe Zootopia, but also Bambi, The Aristocats, The Rescuers, Oliver and Company, Bolt, and I'm sure many others.

This is me, exactly
(I don't even have Disney+...will that get me drummed off of these boards haha?!?!)
We have it but I never watch anything on there. Maybe there was a movie that we watched for a family movie night but that's it. The other members of the household use it.

I have not seen that one either.

Such a pity for all who have not seen it, Zootopia is one of the better new movies out there.

He was sorta right: lots of Disney movies have talking/driving animals!

I liked Zootopia. Hmm, could it be the one Disney talking animal film without humans? I'm not sure if the Mickey movies or The Lion King can say the same.

Cars and Zootopia, worlds where they would flip out if they met a human. It's like Maximum Overdrive meets Planet of the Apes.

Eh, if I had that conversation with DH about comic-book based movies, it would be the same thing in reverse, and he LIKES Disney movies. He just likes comic book movies more, most of the time.

OP here: He's really odd about certain "Disney" things. Loves all things Tigger (will wait in line to hug him!) Has must go to restaurants: Biergarten, Tiffins, Flame Tree. We must eat at those places.... every....single....trip... Must stop at England and get a Guiness every trip. Doesn't like character meals (doable if Tigger involved, but that limits choices). Doesn't like the value resorts at all (this from a guy who travels extensively for work - rooms are crazy small in his opinion) But! he did enjoy AOA cars suite. Oh so much fun to drag him around... (maybe another round of golf? or 5?)

That doesn’t sound at all like he’s odd about Disney. I don’t think you need to live every aspect of it, you can have your favorite things and things you want nothing to do with.
To me that sounds like a pretty typical Disney fan. IMO

Yes but do they "drive around?"

Yes but do they "drive around?"

Well, kinda. In Aristocats they certianly do, hopping into the backs of trucks - Bolt too. In Oliver and Company they spend a lot of time in cars too. Not so much in Bambi,.

Also, I think that part was added to the OP's post after I posted, but I stand by it.

Sounds like the thought bubble went, "Hey, I watched it for you, how far are we gonna go with this?" I get this a lot, most recently with WandaVision while everyone is loving Moon Knight, so no cajoling there, but I digress, I still need to get in on Zootopia it didn't seem appealing but I'll give it a go

I can relate - my DH is not into it either. I am lucky if he doesn't reference Cinderella Castle as "Hogwarts" because he's not paying attention.

I loved Zootopia - my MDE character is actually Judy!
