convention tickets

Hi,

Has anyone used convention tickets? I read they expire 14 days from first use but is there a date for first use...i.e. if the convention is in Sept. could you use the tickets in August? And if you purchase for your family do they have to show some proof of your conference attendance?

Some of this depends on the convention. When we took advantage of this discount several years ago, we had to register at the conference before we could pick up our tickets (which was useless for folks who wanted to visit the parks the full week before the conference). They've cleaned that up, so that they now mail the tickets a few weeks earlier. However, I suspect each reseller will operate a little differently. (This was Premier Attractions.)

I just used convention tickets in May, and they were sent to my house about a month before the convention. We ended up needing extra tickets once we got there, and I was still able to call the reservcation phone number they gave us, and pick up tickets at guest services. It worked out really well, and the prices weren't bad either.

There are several types of convention tickets. The most common ones expire 10 days after first use and must be used by 12/31 of the year they are purchased.
