Convention tickets

Has anyone ever bought/used these? My DH is scheduled to have a work conference at the Dolphin and I'm wondering if we would qualify for these. OR, must the "convention" be at the convention center on Int'l Drive to be eligible for these tickets? Any help would be appreciated.

Your husband is eligible to purchase convention tickets. There is a Disney web site (I don't have the link) where he gives the info about the convention, and he can preorder the tickets.

You now have to call Disney to get Convention tickets - the page to order them now directs you to call.

I ordered a 2day park hopper plus just before they changed this and used it last week - worked fine. No questions asked and a great price!

deltachi- were you at a convention? Or did they let you buy convention tix even though you weren't with a group?
I have used convention tickets twice- the 1st time we got 2 day convention hoppers- but they were in our room when we checked in- I didn't have to purchase them.
The second time we were staying at DD Hilton (where the convention was) and I bought single day post 2pm tickets at the gift shop there. They made me show id and a convention id badge.
If they are available to the gen public I might get them again.

Until very recently you could purchase them through disneymeetings.com by providing a convention name and dates. the system had no way to verify the information and basically anyone could order the tickets.

if you bought them for will call pick up they would ask for convention id, etc. i just had mine mailed to me and they worked no problem.

now, the link directs you to call a number. my guess is they coaught on to this loop hole and will ask several questions regarding your order.

as you can now purchase short stay hoppers, with magic my way tix, its not as much of a priority. of course, the new tickets with hopping for short stays are much more expensive.

I only know what I paid - $108 for 2 day park hopper plus. Not sure on other ticket ptions and prices as the information was removed from the disney website.

Here's what it shows for our Convention. We did get a link through his Convention to buy the tickets. I was going to get the "After 2 PM Ticket" for my husband for his 2 Convention days, but it was actually cheaper to buy the 5-Day Hopper instead.
