I'm not sure but I think I remember a post somewhere that said there was a convenience store in the area near HoJo. Can anyone tell me if this is true and the approximate distance to this or other such stores in the area. We are flying in and will not have a car so it will need to be fairly close.

Just confirming what rune_74 said....there is a small convenience store right there at the hotel (the HOJO). A little pricey but has a decent variety of items. :thumbsup2

The store in building 1 has a lot of things...everything from milk to postcards, muffins, cereal, hot chocolate, soaps, strollers, clothes, plates, stickers...just loads of things.

If you do need anything else you could always catch the city bus right in front of DLR to head north over the highway and you stay on the bus for about 10 minutes and you get off right by a In-N-Out burger, Target store, starbucks and a load of other stores. The Disney outlet store is there as well!

It is a very easy ride there and back and when we went to DCA and picked up the Mr.Potato Head for our DD we only bought the parts and took bus to Target and bought the body there!

If you have any questions anyone @ Hojo reception is always ready to help! They are great there!:worship:

Have a great trip! We always do whenever we stay with Hojo:love:

Www.vons.com delivers groceries for a fee and minimum order of I'm guessing $100.

There is a Ralph's grocery on I believe it's Ball Rd. Www.Ralph's.com

Hojos does have a pretty good selection in their store. Things like individual cheese slices, small milks.

Don't know what youre looking for in particular, but there are Costcos in the area too.

There's a Henry's Farmers Market nr the In-N-Out burger that's quite good. If you decide to go there for groceries, stop in at the In-N-Out burger, they have killer burgers, and DH is drooling over the thought of going there again when we drive down to the mouse at the end of the month. If you don't want to catch a taxi, then HOJO's does have a fully stocked gift shop in building 1. I was able to get a lg btl of water for $2.79 there and at the parks it was the same price for a btl of water 1/3rd the size. So they are definitely cheaper than the prices in the parks, and they do have breakfast items cheaper than what you can find in the parks. A little more expensive, but not by much.

We are staying at Fairfield which is next to HoJo's. I called to ask my hotel this question. He said there is a 7-11 within walking distance.

Unless this has changed, the HoJo store also sells individual flavors for the one-shot coffee makers, including hot chocolate and a variety of teas. Those were a big hit for our family last stay!:thumbsup2

The guy I talked to on the phone said we would be able to carry our beer and wine back to the hotel just fine.

It's about 12 minutes away. It is at the corner of Harbor and Katella. If you want wine or liqour also looks in the ABC market right next to the 7-11. For Beer or basic wine and basic groceries the 7eleven will be fine.
