Contract Off to ROFR!

This is my first time posting on the DVC boards, but I've been lurking here for quite some time. We made a deal with the seller for a 200 point BCV contract: August UY; $73 a point, 83 points from 2010 (that will, inevitably, disappear); 187 points from 2011; and all points 2012 and onward. Seller and Buyer are splitting MF and closing costs.

Our contract was sent to Disney for ROFR today. This would be our first DVC contract (my grandparents are members though and I have used their points many times, so I am familiar with DVC), and it is our first offer. I hope everything goes well!

Good luck. I think you're being realistic in thinking that you won't be able to get anything out of the 2010 points, but you never know. Best case scenario you might find yourself with a week to use them and you might be able to squeeze in a last minute trip! What a bonus that would be.

Thank you for all your well wishes! I don't see a last minute trip happening--- best case scenario I could try and rent out any last minute points. Fingers crossed, regardless.

Good luck with your contract. I am entering week 3 on ROFR for my VWL contract, which is my first contract as well. The waiting is hard, but worth it in the end.
