Continuing work at Disney after CP is over

I am applying to both the DLR and WDW college programs but will put Disneyland as my preference out of the two as I currently live within working distance. I have heard of people extending their work or becoming seasonal/regular cast members even after they finish their CP program, and I would probably like to do that too.

What CP roles are in demand and which do you think are most likely to offer continued work even after the 6-8 month college program is finished? Any CP alumni from either program have any experience or ideas about this?

Most roles will allow CPs to go seasonal after the program (providing they have a good record card). Going PT/FT, however, is another matter. That depends on location availability. After my last CP, I put in for FT at my location (which was the Great Movie Ride), and I just happened to get lucky and got FT there. I also know people that didn't get their first choice and either had to stay seasonal (and wait for their choice to open up), or go somewhere else that was available
