Can someone please tell me about this pin. I knew it was special, but after reading another thread here... I'm thinking it is even more special than I realized.
Here's the story... my mother and I wanted to see the osborne lights during our november trip. I didn't realize that there would be a soft opening, so i thought the only way to see it was to register for the pin trading event. This got us hooked and my mother stopped every CM she saw to look at their pins.
On the last day, we went to MK and had a PS for CP. After breakfast we were taking pics in front of the castle before anyone else was in the park. An extremely nice gentleman offered to take a pic of the two of us together and after talking with him a bit and telling him this story... he presented my mother with one of these pins. He did say that only one of these pins were given out each day, but I wasn't sure if I understood him correctly.
Please, please tell me more!!!

Congratulations - might that extremely nice gentleman have been wearing a red striped jacket and straw top hat? If so, then you met the most wonderful Disney representative there is - named Scoop Sanderson. Scoop gives the pin talks in the Exposition Hall a few days a week and is an ambassador on Main Street. He is extremely well known here on these boards as many of us have had the pleasure of knowing and/or meeting him over the past few years.
The CTT pin is, indeed, special and most cherished by those who have been privileged to receive one. Your mom must have been very special and shown an interest in continung the Disney tradition to have been the recipient. How wonderful!!! Caroline :flower:

This man stood about 5'9", of average build, had grey hair and was wearing a white button up shirt with black pants. He is wearing a gold chain on his right wrist and a gold wedding band on his left ring finger. He has a black lanyard on with pins and the plastic case (at the bottom of the lanyard) seems to have a picture of some sort of castle with some words on it (I don't think it was cindy's castle). I have a picture here that I'm currently looking at, but unfortunatly, I'm not very good with computers and have no idea of how to post a picture.
We did tell him about how hooked we were on pintrading. It became a bit of an obsession while we were there and I think it's something that we both continue to look forward to. It's added an extra bit of fun to our days at WDW.
I knew the pin was special at the time (that's why we took a picture of him and my mom both holding the pin/card that it comes on.
Even if it wasn't Scoop, what a nice man he was!!!

To me, having Scoop bless me with a CTT pin would be the ultimate pin experience and an official affirmation of a job well done with the work that I do collection pins and lanyards for the Bert's Big Adventure charity, so that some really special kids get to experience pin trading and have lasting keepsakes of their once in a lifetime trip to WDW. Maybe next year, I will be so blessed. Maggie

Maggie- It sounds like you do amazing things for people that need it most. I truly hope that you do receive whichever pins it is that you want... this one and others. You deserve it!!!
