Hi all,

Hoping someone who has done this can let me know if my thinking is correct. We currently have two nights booked at BWV with our points, followed by six nights at BWV that we rented points for and the DxDDP, with one more night at BWV with our points. All are same view/room type and each has a separate #.

MS told me I should let the desk know when I checkin that I have a "continuing reservation", so I'm guessing right off the bat I should not do online checkin as I don't want to hold that up.

Is this one of those case where I may get to stay in the same room and just get new keys (especially since we have the DxDDP in the middle) for each new checkin and checkout? Just trying to figure out if I should unpack during the first couple of days, or just live out of suitcases knowing I may have to move.

Thanks all!

You really cannot do on-line check-in unless you have only one reservation number for the entire period. Moreover on-line check-in has no bearing on the issue you raise. You should have MS link the reservations. That will result in the hotel's keeping you in the same room although on the day the reservation numbers change you may have to get new keys, change your parking pass if you have a car, and reapply your credit card to the room.

A linked reservation will require the DDP for the entire stay.

I would have MS note the continuing reservation on each reservation so the room assigner has a better chance of matching a room.

Thanks for this, but since I went through David's I really don't want to bug the member to do a three way call so I guess I'll take my chances. Won't be a huge deal either way I guess.

Thanks Bill- I believe MS has noted that on all the reservations so I'll just take my chances. Plus, this way I only have to have the DxDDP for part of the time. Hopefully I won't have to move, but we'll see.

Just wanted to follow up and say that having the continuing reservation noted worked great in this case. I was able to stay in the same room the whole time, just had to get new cards each time.

Thanks everyone for their advice.

Thanks for letting us know!

Thanks for letting us know and I'm glad it worked out. I will be doing something similar in June and hope to stay in the same room and just get new keys.
