Anyone in a profession that requires a certain amount of CE credits in a given time frame? Although I am a stay at home mom for now, I had the past 4 years to get in 48 hours of CE. Well my license will expire on 04/30 and I am proud to say that I finished my last course last night! I crammed 48 credits into 2 months. Nothing like awaiting until the last minute.

Yes, I am a dietitian. We have to have 75 CE hours every 5 years. I live in a rural area, so it's not as easy as it sounds especially with children. I do some on the internet.

Yes, as an attorney in California you have to have 25 hours worth of CLE in a 3 year period. Not too bad a requirement. Most people attend weekend long retreats which usually have between 12-16 hours of credit. One a year and your requirement is done. There are lots and lots of different ways a lawyer can get the CLE but inevitably many people wait until the last minute. I have to report mine next April and I am glad to say I already have more than 25 hours!!

I need 8 hours/year to renew my real estate license. I need 120 hours every 5 years for my teaching license. (I have let that one expire.) My RE class was yesterday and I missed it because all of my power steering fluid was on the garage floor.

Yes as a Nurse I need 25 for state of MI and 24 with 1 hr of Ohio law for Ohio, every 2 yrs. I am actually done with mine and have been for quite some time. I found a company that does CE via home study/internet and usually 1 course cost me less than an inservice at a hotel and I get all my CE's done in one shot veruses only getting 6-8 at an inservice.

I also think that by having my licenses expire in opposite years it tends to keep me on track.

150 hours every five years for my teaching certificate. I found it pretty easy when I was working, but hard as a SAHM.
