Continued Issues With ADRs

I finally logged in to make my ADRs for our trip in December, which I just found is the same week as free dining, and I'm noticing that there is hardly anything available. I was reading about all of the issues with the ADRs lately, but it looks like those comments were posted around the second week of June, and since it's now June 22nd, I figured those issues would've been fixed already. Should I just give up on trying to make my adrs or should I wait and see if they just haven't released all of the times yet? One of the places I was trying for was lunch at the Coral Reef, and every single day of our trip has no availability. This is mind boggling to me.

Things will open up. People hoard reservations then release them later when they firm up their plans. Keep checking!

I hope you're right. This is the first time I've tried to book my ADRs this far out and have seen so many unavailable times. :worried:

Last year we went during FD and I was able to get all the ADRs I was hoping for after 180 days. Don't lose hope! Watch the cancelled reservation thread for December on the dining board, and set up some alerts on the touring plan ADR finder. Those 2 definitely helped, along. With checking often on my own.

I think Disney is holding reservations at Epcot until they release Candlelight Processional info. I used the reservation finder on Touring Plans and was able to snag dinner at Cinderella Royal Table. Keep checking, look at the cancelation board and good luck!

I was thinking the Candlelight Processional might be one of the reasons for that particular restaurant, but I wasn't 100% sure. I'll also check out that reservation finder and hopefully I can score the ADRs I want.

Did you try to call? I got times and restaurants that were not available online, with the app or MDE

Not yet. I've never had to call because I've never had a problem making them online. Guess it's time to pick up the phone. :p

I do the SAME thing. I absolutely hate to call but they have been extremely nice and helpful each time. Its like going to the gym, I say, I don't want to go but then when I go, I'm like hey that was pretty good, I don't know why I dread it

I made mine this past Monday for 12/17-12/26 and did not have any issues. But like everyone else said def keep checking. Teppan Edo had absolutely no availabilty the entire week but then opened up later in the day and I was able to book it.

My 180 days was Sunday and I was online right at 6:00 a.m. and only got 3 of 9 ressies. I called right at 7 and got 3 more. Still missing 3! I have never had this problem and have been going to Disney for years and always booked right on the 180 mark. And people laugh at me for doing that. And I am not on free dining

I know! This isn't my first rodeo  and I just couldn't believe what I was seeing, especially when I wasn't even trying to snag the more popular places. Thankfully I'm not making that many ADRs for this trip since we're staying club level, but still, even with the 5 that I need, I've only been able to book 2.

Congratulations Melissa. I'm doing a split stay and my 180 days for the second half of my stay was today and I was able to book the second half of my trip with no problems. Still no luck with the first half of my trip.

Keep trying because things changed in a matter of days. Not sure why, but they did. Good luck!

I logged in at 6:00 and I keep having problems, just like when I tried to book my adrs for October. I guess I'll have to call, and pray what I want is still available. I used to love making reservations for our dining, then the fast passes as well. Now, I'm dreading it every time our 180 comes up. I'm getting to the point where I may stop trying all together, and wing it.

Today was our 180+10 day and we were able to get pretty much all of our reservations including 'Ohana, Akershus, and BOG while reserving online today at 6am. And we were able to get all the exact times we wanted with the exception that Akershus didn't have any dinner slots for Dec 27th (got a lunch reservation instead) and Tusker on Dec 24. I think that Akershus must be holding reservations back for dinner that day because we could book dinner pretty much any other day of our trip there including Christmas day right at 6:30 if you wanted, so for the 27th to randomly be booked solid seems weird. And Animal Kingdom hasn't adjusted their hours yet for December so there aren't any dinner reservations later than 4:30pm at Tusker yet, but we'll change that to a later time once hours for the park are changed.

So don't fret everyone. There are reservations available, but they do seem more limited this year than the last few years, my guess is they are holding spots back for some reason though.

Good luck all!

We have gotten probably 10 ADR's since I booked our trip, which was in April, so we never have the option of 180 days. You can book 2 reservations if they are one hour apart. And many people do that. I only do that if I am looking for something that is currently unavailable, and take my 2nd choice, and then something else opens up during the day. Then at night we discuss this as a family and cancel one of them. I think a lot of people may hold on to these up until their trip. I have been checking every night around 11:30pm eastern and there is availability for BOD and Ohana for the next day. That tells me people do this regularly. There were even two CRT's a few days ago. I do currently use touring plans to look and they have found me multiple reservations, you just have to be the first one to book it once they email or text you.

Some ADRs may come open when the release the CP dining packages as well. I know I will be releasing at least one ADR. The restaurants may be holding back availability for the CP as well.
