Planning to purchase tickets for our trip to WDW in July. On Continental.com's website, some of the seats are marked "premium". They come up when I'm trying to pick the seats on their seat chart. It looks like I could choose them, even with my low-cost coach fare (I've done everything but hit submit while I was looking into flights).

Does anyone know what this means, and if Continental will let me choose them for real? They are just further up in the plan, and in a good configuration for me, my children, my aunt and her children.

If you'd like to see what the best seats on the plane are, check out SeatGuru

Choose the airline and aircraft you will be using and they will point out the pros and cons of every seat.

Permium seats are usually reserved for Frequent flyers so if you don't have the right status in theory you shouldn't get to select those seats.

Now theory doesn't always work and you might get lucky!

I do have a FF account w Continental. Just no miles (I donated them all during Katrina). I did put my number in as I was "reserving". Thanks for the info! This is the first time my aunt is flying since her husband died on 9/11 - she's a little nervous about flying, to say the least. She wants to be as close to the front as possible.

The fact that you have a FF account isn't important, it is your FF status. If you have reached one of the elite levels, then you should be able to reserve a premium seat. If you just have an account with no miles, then you won't be able to reserve a premium seat, unless there is a glitch in the reservation program (and it does sometimes happen).

Ahh, I reserved the seats before I read this last post. Should I expect us to be moved come travel time? I have all the e-tickets with our seats listed on them.
