Hi All,
wonder if someone can help please.
We are going to Orlando at the end of May but already have our flight tickets (purchased on Expedia).
Our tickets say Olando MCO - is that the international airport?
Also, they Say Continental Airlines but also Virgin Atlantic, but with a Continental Airlines flight number!!! This makes me really confused, don't know whether I am flying Virgin or not?
As first timers I am a little anxious about such a long flight and driving over there etc. etc. wonder if someone could shed some light on this

Thanks
Lynne

Hi Lynne - Welcome to the Dis!!!!

To answer your questions - and hopefully allay your fears!!!

MCO stands for McCoy Airport, Orlando - which is the original name for Orlando International! So you will be arriving at the International airport.

Virgin and Continental have a 'deal' going whereby Continental 'buy' seats on Virgin flights - the Plane you're going on is a Virgin plane even though you've paid Continental for the tickets - hence the two numbers! FYI - there is usually at least one 'Continental' steward on board but they work in conjunction with the Virgin ones so it doesn't matter who you booked with, you will get service from whichever steward is assigned to your area! You might spot the Continenetal steward - they usually wear a grey uniform which is differnt from the red/white Virgin ones!!!

Feel free to ask any more questions - the people on here are very knowledgable and there is usually someone who can answer any question - even the most tirvial or obscure!!!

:teeth: :wave2:

You will also find that Continental only have a limited number of seats allocated to them in specific rows. So you can't prebook any particular seats, just those in the Continental allocation. Been there tried that, didn't actually get the Tee shirt!

Apart from that there's no difference as far as you will see.

Thanks guys for the reply.
One more question
Do we check in at the Continental desk or the Virgin desk at Gatwick??

thanks
Lynne

we flew with continental tickets on a virgin flight in dec and checked in at the virgin desk .

We have booked our flights by the same route - saved a whoppin £190 per ticket !!!! :teeth:

As a continental passenger are we able to -

1 - Use the twilight check-in facility at Gatwick the evening before we jet off.

2 - Use the Downtown Disney check-in on the morning of our departure.

thanks

tyke

ps - does anyone have the e-mail address for Virgin Atlantic customer services

Tyke,

1- Yes you can.

2- Yes you can.

As far as contacting Virgin goes, if you go the Virgin Atlantic website and click on contact us at the bottom of the page it gives you all the different contact info including email.

Regards

Sean.
