Well I posted back in april about how bad continental was, so I felt obligated to post when they were fantastic. First of all I booked three coach seats for my DW, DS(20months) and myself back in April for our upcoming september trip. From EWR (newark) to MCO, non-stop 180.00 RT not including taxes, and we were sitting together for the time being. Well got an email last night that our outbound flight had changed from 8:30pm to 7:00pm a little inconient but we could live with it. and our return flight had changed from 4:30pm to 3:00pm. Well called up to verify that our seats had not changed (they were the same) and the rep asked me if everything was ok, and I explained that we booked the return flight late so we could have a little more time on our vacation. She then offered to see if there were any later flights, and there were. We are now returning at 5:35pm. She was very helpful and nice, and I did'nt even ask to be changed. My hats off to continental.

We're flying Contintental for the 1st time in November, so that's nice to hear some good news regarding them.

I called Continental because I noticed online that our Sept flight times did change.
Our outbound flt changed from 10:15AM to 10:25AM
Our return flt changed from 4:30PM to 3:56PM
Not too bad of an inconvenience, so we didn't ask for the later flights back to Newark.

I just noticed too, that our Sept/Oct flights were changed by only 5 minutes but there was also a plane change both ways. I finally was able to get it straight (I think), I just wanted to make sure our 5 seats stayed together!! I will keep checking to make sure all is in order. We only fly CO and have not had a problem so far.
 

I flew Continental a few weeks ago to Houston and everything was fine (normal flight). Also flew last fall to NYC connecting through Cleveland on one of the smaller jets and loved it!
 
All I can say is thank goodness for these boards. My DH thinks I'm crazy to check threads every day, but it always pays off. I just went to the Continental website and found out that my September flight times have also changed. I have yet to receive a call or e-mail regarding this change (they NEVER inform me). Now I will call to make sure we are still seated together!!
 
I flew CO on Christmas Day last year, and thought it was wonderful. I have two more flights booked with them, and I just received an email telling me that my flight schedule had changed. It had only changed by 15 minutes. They are the first airline who has notified me at all for changes. I thought that was pretty cool.
 
I too have had great customer service from them. I booked our flights for our sept trip a few weeks ago and checked today on the fares and noticed that my 8:30 am flight was gone and now there was a 7:40 am and a 9:00 - I called and my flight number was now the 9:00 - I requested to be changed to the 7:40 am flight and all 4 of us were changed without any fee. Thanks to these boards I checked and knew to push them to change me because they changed the flight times. I much prefer the early flights (8:30 was already later than I wanted, but it was their first).

Yeah continental - I prefer this airport out of Newark - better chance of taking off on time.

I got my e-mail this morning to let me know that my departing flight from Orlando is now leaving 3 HOURS EARLIER!!!!!

And according to the website, this is the latest direct flight. :mad:

And, I have a flight booked for a short trip to Connecticut in October. This change now has me into there 2 hours after the event starts!!! ggrrrrr The flight has been changed to over 3 hours later than originally booked. I can leave earlier but it is not direct.

I at least have a chance that the Orlando times will change again with the October readjustment. But there is no chance for the CT trip
