We are flying from San Antonio to MCO in April. Does anyone know what type of snacks or meals they will be serving?

I haven't flown Continental in ages, but can't imagine they're much different than the other airlines in the food department at this point. That means a bag of snack mix, pretzels or some breakfast-grade equivalent will be it as far as food goes. "Meals" are a thing of the past on domestic flights (outside of first class), unless they have something available for purchase; and that's usually only on longer flights.

I kind of figured that. I haven't flown Continental in a while and their website is very vague. I didn't know if they had boxed meals for sale or not. We leave too early (6:00 am) to eat before and a short layover (45 minutes ) to grab a bite then. Could bring sandwiches on board, but........

Just flew Phoenix to Cleveland on Continental on Monday. We had a 6:00 AM flight. We got a box of cereal(with box of raisins) with milk, piece of banana cake, and some candy.

On our flight from Cleveland-Phoenix on Friday at 5:00 PM we also got a sandwich, chips, salad with dressing, and a piece of candy. Continental is one of the last legacy airlines that still provides a meal without charging any extra for it.

I have been bringing sandwiches on the plane for a few years now but I tend to buy Subway instead of making them myself. We fly Continental all them time to WDW. Our flights out of Newark avg about a 2 1/2 hr trip, and the food usually consists of a bag of chips and a cup of soda, (a can if you ask to keep it) coffee or tea. I only drink Decaf so I usually bring along some Chai tea too, and hot chocolate envelopes for the kids they'll provide the boiling water, milk & sugar. The kids also like baby carrots with the individual size 'HIdden VAlley Ranch' dressing for a snack.

Once when we were delayed we got sandwiches made with small dinner rolls

Your best bet might be to grab something after you clear the security check point to take on board many of the bigger airports have a few places open early AM as to provide early morning business and such travellers so there might be something opened.. We have a long flight, and lately your choices are purchase a snack box with some handi snacks type of crackers, and a pack of chips in it, or purchase something after the checkpoint and bring it on board.:bride: :groom:
