Continental allowing one way Frequent Flier Mile usage

This may be posted elsewhere but for those of us that are Continental fans, it is sad to see them merge with United.

One immediate perk is that Continental is now allowing frequent flier miles to be used for a one way ticket, wich wasn't previously allowed. Also, the program is going to end as soon as December, although miles will carry over into the United program.
 
United already offers this and I have taken advantage of it a number of times. It's great when you may have to change one leg of your trip.
