Continental Airlines.....anyone flown out of Toronto with them??

I found a good price for a trip to New York in Sept.$763.65 CAD. Have never flown with them before, wondering if anyone has , any good/bad experiences, etc. (for 3 of us)

I've flown Continental a few times out Vancouver as my sister lives in Houston and its their hub. If I go down there it's usually on Continental. They're fine. Pretty much like any other airline. Can't really say anything good or bad, just the usual airline experience. They are one of the largest airlines in the US if that reassures you at all. The only airline I avoid is Air Canada actually as our experiences on them have not been good. Americans seem to understand customer service much more

Jetblue out of Buffalo often have fares for $44 each way to JFK.

I am just back from NYC this past Sunday..I flew AC tho using Aeroplan.

Make sure that you factor in the cost of checked baggage with the fares. I think it is $30 per checked bag, Air Canada and Westjet are currently not charging for checked bags. Have you tried Porter? They fly into Newark, too. Don't know about their fares.

I was assuming the OP meant a package type thing with hotel for that price. If that's the flight only, it does seem a lot.

My Mom flew with them to Mexico in Feb. and was happy with them. She booked a few weeks before so she didn't have any flight schedule changes before the flight. She was also happy that the fed her on each leg (she had a stopover each way). It was not a big meal but she was expecting nothing.

then of course last night I watch a something about the Continental crash in Buffalo and why it happened. They were saying the pilots were not properly trained enough so now I'm not sure if I will use them.......

Hmmm yes I know.
There are times I feel that Air Canada is all I will fly..because I know their maintenance and Pilots have exceptional training. Many U.S carriers have always been known to cut corners..it's scary.

I hear ya.........we have friends in the airline industry (mechanics) You would not believe the stuff we hear about the US

I worked in the Airline industry for many years and I heard too much too, We also travel a lot with another couple and he is an Air Canada Capt. I must stop listening to him as well! We all flew with Jetblue once to Fla..even him!! He was okay with them..when we were considering Southwest another time, he was hesitant. Good enough for me!
