Hi Everyone! :wave2:

I was trying to add a day on to the beginning of our trip the other day and the CM I spoke to (from Kansas) told me there was no availability (June 29-July 6th). While I was on the telephone she said "OH, I SEE YOU ARE A CONTEST WINNER". :cool1: Much to my delight, I asked, "WHAT CONTEST DID I WIN?" She tried to look and even put me on hold to speak with Guest Relations but did not come back with an answer. Only thing she could tell me is that it is upon check in. Has anyone ever heard of this???? I guess I would like to know but it will be fun to be surprised!!! :cloud9:

I was looking to add a day on at the beginning of our trip. We are scheduled to arrive on June 30th at POP but are actually arriving on June 29th in the evening. I have secured reservations at an off sight hotel but thought it would be easier for the children, (DS12, DD8, DD7 and a friend of my DS, DFriend 11) to stay on site rather than change rooms the next day. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, any comments regarding the "CONTEST WINNER" would also be great.

Any one else staying at POP June 29-July 6????? Would be happy to meet friends for the children to swim with.......... :flower:

Hopefully it is something. We were thinking last night that it might have been a pin code for the rate on the room we have received. I was hoping some one in the boards would have a clue as to what it means but so far you are the only one who has answered.

We did ask to be put in the 60's building close to the main building and pool. How about you?

I asked to be put into the 70's building as far away from the pools as possible. There is a lot of traffic near the pool and I don't want to be disturbed any more than normal because of it. Plus the 70 are close to the main building anyway so I can be away from pools and still be near the main hall.
 
My suggestion is to keep calling every morning to try to add on the day.

I wonder what it is??? If you don't mind please post it in this thread so we all get "notified" when you post it.
 
I took your suggestion Vanyel and called last night to add the additional night. Boy what a nightmare :scared: Of course they didn't have anything available so I told the CM I would try back. Fifteen minutes later she called back :cheer2: only to tell me she had deleted the park tickets from our reservation. (Keep in mind these are already paid for.) As she tried to add them, the price kept changing to lower than what I had initially paid. Of course I asked her if I could have the tickets at that rate to which she replied yes and I will credit the difference to your outstanding room balance. She said it would take some time but needed to get in touch with Guest Relations and would call me back. I waited 1 1/2 hours so I called back only to be transferred to Guest Relations. The person I spoke to there said the CM was incorrect and that they would not honor the verbal quote from the CM (a $550.00 difference). :confused3

The Guest Relations rep was able to reserve a room at Coronado Springs for the additional night (2 rooms) at a price of $179.00. Has anyone ever stayed there? Is this a good rate? We have never switched hotels before, how does this work? What about your luggage? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
 
We stayed at Coronado Springs years ago. It is similar to Caribbean Beach. As for switching rooms, all you have to do is pack up your stuff and call bell hop. They will come to your room and pick up your luggage and move it to your other hotel. Keep us posted on the prize. Annmarie
 
I'm sorry to hear about your continuing problems and I hope my suggestion to call back wasn't a problem. I have always heard that with cancellations, people had a good chance of adding rooms and that you should keep calling until it works. Sorry :confused3

But, you'll like CSR, at least we do. Our next trip will be there in Sept/Oct.

No, Vanyel your suggestion was not the problem. Just a mistake by a CM and then Guest Relations saying they can not honor a verbal quote. Makes me a little scared. How many times does some one call to book a reservation and what do you get is a "verbal quote" only to have the confirmation arrive later in the mail. Hummm, if it is not the same, then you are out of luck???????? I believe Disney should stand behind their CM. Okay, enough of that......

When you switch rooms will they move everything i.e. bottled water, etc? Do I have to go to POP in the morning to check in?
