First one to answer wins

3 questions ready you have to answer them all to win.

What it the underground tunnel system at WDW called?

Who did the Imagineers consult first when they were designing i.e the concept stage of the tower of terror ride?

Tough one who composed the words and music for Its a small world?

Okay go for it.

I have an extra Pooh myself -- but will shoot for the first two answers (just for fun). :)

Utildors
Otis Elevator

but since I just won one of Ed's contests a couple months ago, I'm not answering here... Eddie, honey, sweetie-pie... go check your PMs... :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Now, a variation question for #3 could have been, what company holds (or at least originally held, as of 1963) the copyright for "It's a Small World"???

:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Sandy (and Brian, Bonnie & Kellie, too!)
(ecstatic now that Brian and our worldly possessions are back home again in Indiana!)

1) Utilidors

2) Intamin AG, developer of Freefall attraction at Magic Mountain, CA

3) Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman

Hay Dios mio!, quien cojones le importa esta mierda????????????

Y cuán largo usted piensa será antes usted sabe quién, lo resuelve que tu dejo un maldijo en el español.

Hey Daber wrong so bite me :teeth:

Nothing but love for you man, nothing but love.

Isn't that precious!
I'm not wasting any more vacation time.

I'll guess :
2) Mel Brooks
and
3) Buddy Baker

Okay I dont know what in the heck Mel Brooks has to do with elevators but forget it.

I remember back when these boards were poppin I would have gotten over 50 answers, now its been 3 days and nothing with me giving away a pin to boot.

SO I give up I guess nobody wants this pins so I'll give away to somebody that does want it.

The answers for those of you that are intersted

1) Utilidors.

2) Lets try OTIS as in OTIS Elevators.

3) Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman.

And you know what all three answers are here but nobody put all three together only two.

Yep Mel Brooks... I forgot about his degree in Elevator Physics.

So contest over, no winners.

What about 3b?
I presumed Pepsi since they sponsored IASW at the 1964 NY Worlds Fair.

P.S. Since you didn't get the other reference:
Mel Brooks had a film called "High Anxiety" about a fear of falling, hence his tie-in to TOT (It's pretty bad when I have to explain someone else's joke)

copyright 1963 by Wonderland Music Company, Inc.

At least, according to the Disney songbook I checked out of our local library last week...

your mileage may vary :smooth:

Sandy (and Brian, Bonnie & Kellie)

Say stuff you all get ticked at me and you all start posting

Hey Daber I get it but still, you don't have to bite me... :teeth:

James that site is listed as unofficial and they do mention...

To really understand how this ride came about, you need to come back with me to the summer of 1982. That’s when Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA. unveiled its latest thrill ride: Freefall.

Back in those days, Freefall (which was developed by Intamin AG, by the way) was considered pretty cutting edge stuff. Immediately upon boarding the attraction, Magic Mountain guests.

But I got my information from my imagineering book which claims that Disney Imagineers consulted the Otis elevator company which showed them a new elevator design which was fast but Disney imagineers did not like it because you could hardly feel it move. In fact it was said to be too good.

Otis engineers were upset because Disney took all their accomplishments for elevator design and wanted the opposite. So an Otis exec, said so you basically want everything we have worked for to be put aside for your thrill ride. Disney's answer was... yes!
