The problem with those giveaways where the prize is something like a house is that the taxes you owe is crippling financially.

I read a story about the couple who won this year's HGTV Dream Home -- they're the first winner in 7 years of the contest that's going to try to actually keep the house. The previous winners, when faced with tax bills in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, all sold the house to pay the taxes.
