What is the difference/is there a difference between concierge level rooms and tower concierge level room? I was able to book 3 nights in Oct in a "tower concierge" room. My reservation says Tower club under the view. What did I book?

I have the same ressie, but in Dec. I'm so confused on what the difference is between the Tower club (12th) vs 14th.

The Tower Club (12th floor) is concierge "light". Basically, the same as full concierge (14th floor), except that the 12th floor closes at 4 p.m. (my understanding is no evening offerings, snacks, beverages, etc.). There may be other differences, but this was the main one I was told about when my wife and I booked this room for our Nov. trip.

We were just there in July on the 12th floor. In order to get to either floor you have to use your room key in the elevator.

The 12th floor has a light continental breakfast and snacks around 3 pm. The 14th floor, I believe, has the same breakfast and snacks bu8t then light hour d'ouvres in the evening.

Please someone correct me if I am wrong.

SEAlla-

I am also booked at the Tower Club for next month- I booked online (5+2 package) and I didnt realize until after the fact (the Dis Board) that it was so different from 14th floor-but that wasnt offered- I just clicked concierge and this is what I got.

What was your opinion on the "light" concierge?

Do you think it was worth the extra $? Not necessarily dollar for dollar but the experience overall.

Thank you

:( All of you guys talking about staying at the contemporary concierge. The best I ever stayed was Port Orleans : Riverside although I did like All star Sports better. Tht iis where I usually go when I go which is about monthly.:D

Geomich-

It was just my DH and I and for us the "light " service was perfect. The breakfast was just enough to get us through til lunchtime. We never were in the hotel when the snacks were out except for the first day.

We had a ps every night so we didn't need the hor d'ouvres that the 14th floor serves so that helped with the decision between the 2 floors.

It really depends on your expectations. We liked the help we got from the concierge. We liked the fact that when we bought stuff at the parks it got delivered directly to our room as opposed to one of the gift shops downstairs.

I also liked the fact that the floor seemed much quieter with the exception of hearing Chef Micky's every morning. Which I loved, BTW. I would lean over the railing for a few minutes to see the activities below, it really got me in the spirit of things.

I definantly think it is worth it! I hope you will too!

Have fun :wave2:

Thanks Susan

Sounds like it will be perfect for us (only DH & DS6 and myself). I didnt realize that the packages would be delivered to our room - that is definitely a convenience for us.

Now that you mention it, we wouldnt usually have the opportunity to use the evening offerings either since we have a PS for most evenings. I also would enjoy hearing Chef Mickey in the morning.

Thanks for helping me to feel better about my decision to try the tower club.

All of the suites are on the 14th floor. Food offerings are much more extensive throughout the day on the 14th. Also the room balconies are much larger and there are some extra room amenities. Also room have fridges that are stocked with complimentary soft drinks, juices, water, etc.

If you are going for the full concierge treatment you probably would want to opt for 14th floor. If you prefer to make most of your own reservations anyways and will be spending most of your time at the parks vs the resort then 12th floor would be great.
12th floor rooms are identical to other tower rooms, just get a daytime concierge, a lite breakfast and afternoon cookies and drinks. It usually runs about $60/night more than the regular tower rooms. There is a much more significant increase for rooms on the 14th floor.

Personally I decided for us it wasn't worth the $60/night, but it is pretty fun and there is something special about it...so if you decide to go with it have fun every now and then I will hit on a special and pop for the 12th floor. Once they gave us a complimentary upgraade to 14th floor and it was really spectacular (but unfortunately not within the annual vacation budget...oh well it was magic while it lasted!!)

The only real complaints I have heard were from people that went expecting full concierge service (and food offerings) on the 12th floor and they were pretty steamed. Otherwise it is a lot of fun.
