Contemporary

I have had asmovies booked for months and have all my adr's made, but I think we can afford to stay at the Contemporary and would like to switch.

I asked a few weeks ago about the Contemporary being booked solid for our time frame - 10-3 - 10-8........ You all advised me to call and ask reservations if anything was open. I have called and checked online everyday and it is still booked solid. One agent told me that several rooms were sent out to travel agents and such. I have checked online and can get the Contemporary through expedia...........My question is when do these places turn these rooms over when they dont sell?

If I was you, I'd check Expedia, Travelocity, Hotels.com. etc. Actually, it's easier just to go to Trip Advisor and look for the Contemporary Resort, and check a lot of different engines from there.

That said, I just checked - nothing available for those dates. Likely a convention, probably several that are booking the hotel up. Rooms may become available later, but the Contemporary is a big convention hotel and they also are short like 1/4 or 1/3 of their rooms due to the one wing being demolished.

How about another resort?

I know this wouldnt work for an entire stay but one of our nights of our last trip we could not get into CR and we could not get Tower room. We checked every day online and called. Even called AAA. When we went, and checked in a room was available as well as Tower rooms which had not been available. We did not get a free upgrade but we did upgrade to the Tower and we were able to just stay put.

DH goes to many conventions and a lot of times hotels are booked up unitl the very last minute by the conventioneers and then the rooms open up when companies and such decide not to send people.

You could always switch last minute and just keep your res at ASMu.

Is there a reason you dont or shouldnt book on Expedia?????
