We did this last month, on our own. We bought the Sea World tickets online (less money) and took a cab from the CR. When we were done at SW, we took a cab back. Fun day!
thank you both. BLT do you mind me asking how much the cab was to and from? also did you find a day was enough? We're going in February so I'm not sure weather wise what will be closed/open when it comes to the shows and exhibits. Thanks!!
I think the cab was around $35 each way. One day was enough for us. We got there right when it opened and stayed until around 6:00 PM. We really enjoy it!
Or.....take the monorail over to the TTC. There, you can get a Lynx bus to the SW parking lot...for $2 pp, one way. If you go to www.golynx.com you should be able to find the schedule. I believe it's the number 50 bus. We've done it before and found it to be very easy. You do have to have exact change, and you do have to let the bus driver know you are getting off at SW since it's not a 'routine' stop.
I seriously love this Board. You're all AWESOME, thank you!! :
Now to figure out the pros/cons of:
(1) leaving WDW a day early, stay at a SeaWorld Hotel for the nite and then go right to the airport the next day or
(2) Taking a day trip to SeaWorld mid-week and coming back to resume the Magic.
Financially it works out cheaper to leave the day earlier (since that Saturday the room goes up the highest), but right now the thought of leaving a day earlier just bums me out.
Just did this. We rented a car. $25 for 24 hour rental that included taxes. They are on disney property and they pick you up at the resort for free and bring you back when you are done.
We thought about the cab but was told it was $40 each way.

oh we did a day excursion off a cruise ship to Sea World. Our day was from opening until 4pm when we needed to catch the bus. Yes we did the shows and saw the "stuff" for that Clyde and Seymore show-- PLEASE show up about 30 mintues prior tot he show time-- that MIME is fabulous.
I think that only show we did not do was the night time one.
the whole day was fabulous and I would do this again only in the winter

This is very intriguing sounding. we are planning a day trip to Universal and were going to do the bus to universal and cab back. But a car for the day @ $25, that seems like a much better idea

how did you manage this price.. i went online to do a rental for one day... and most were coming up close to 50.00...
did you have to book ahead of time ...? i tried several websites and all prices were very similar . but none for 20.00
