Contemporary to Epcot via monorail

Anyone know what time the monorail starts to Epcot? I know I saw this before, but the search feature is hardly ever working lately! I wanted to take it for our 8:30am ps in early June, but feel sure it won't be running. Could drive or take the bus if need be. Thanks!

I don't remember exactly what time it starts running but we had a PS for Princess Storybook for 8:40 am on a Wednesday morning and we took the monorail from the GF and made it to Epcot with a few minutes to spare. (We had to stop at MK and CR before the TTC, you will only be one stop away) I think we left the GF around 7:50 am and the monorail arrived pretty quickly and we switched monorails at the TTC and that monorail had been sitting there and waited for people if they saw them comimg up the ramp.

We had to give our PS number at the entrance gate at Epcot then there was one more checkpoint where we had to give our PS and name again. It took a little under 10 minutes to walk from the main entrance to Norway including stopping at the checkpoints.

Thanks! That gives me hope that the monorail may work out. Our PS is at Princess Storybook too. I will check the times when we arrive!
We may be quicker walking to TTC then monorail to Epcot!

I think the only resort you can walk to the TTC from is Polynesian. From the Contemporary you are only one stop away from the TTC so I'm certain you will get there fairly quickly via the monorail.

Yea, I goofed. I was thinking we could walk to MK(said TTC by error!) and catch the Epcot monorail. Not sure though if that is possible??

If you catch the monorail at the Contemporary, the TTC will be the next stop. If you walk to the MK to get the monorail you will be going backwards (Kind of) because you will get on at the MK but you will stop at Contemporary then TTC.

The monorail goes from TTC to Polynesian, the next stop is GF, the next stop is MK, the next stop is Contemporary the next stop is TTC, etc.

Gotcha. I guess I am thinking of getting to MK from CR which takes the LONG way around to get there. I was thinking you could get to Epcot from MK entrance. Have not taken the Epcot monorail in many years! We usually drive from our resort and only use monorail for MK. It makes sense now. Thanks !

There is no bus service from the MK resorts to Epcot - only the monorail.

The Epcot Monorail begins service at approx 8:00am (pending train issues)

Typically it's a 10min train ride from the TTC to Epcot.

Yes, the monorail will be operating in plenty of time to get your to your breakfast at Epcot . We did it last year and even got to sit up front!

We'll also be there in June, and we have an 8:30 PS for the Storybook Breakfast too!

Ok, I can't wait now. It has been over a year since we went! ! Now that I can start booking PS's and all, the countdown begins! DD loves breakfast at Cindy's, so I know she will enjoy this(DS won't mind either!). The monorail will make it more fun ! We have not got to sit up front in about 4 years. Seems to always be taken or claimed lately! Maybe staying at the CR will give us more opportunities.

The trick is that if it's already taken, WAIT FOR THE NEXT TRAIN... You'd be surprised at how many people don't want to wait FIVE MINUTES for the next train... Shortest line at Disney. lol

I don't know about that, Chip'n Dale Express! DH and I took a resort only, no kids trip last fall and waited for about 25 mins at the CR to take a monorail back to the Poly! May have been bad timing and a fluke but their would be NO way I would wait on another after that long ! We will have more chances and time to deal with that this next trip though. Will give waiting for another a whirl if we don't get to ride up front after a few tries !
