Besides renting a car... What is the best way to get to the Port? Which Car Services offer the best deals? We are a family of 4 with 4 large suitcases and 3 carryons.

In February we stayed at Disney the night before our cruise. If I recall the cheapest I could find was $200 for the two of us through Mears for private car service.

We ended up renting a car. We only had car for about 24 hours it was $55 for pickup at MCO and return at PC through Budget. They even had a free shuttle to the port. It was a very easy drive out there.

are you totally against dcl transportation? it is the easiest and would cost about as much as a car service if you add in the car service tip. guest services will come to your room and pick up your luggage for you and you don't have to tote it around. it will show up in your cabin.
the bus ride shows a little movie and it just starts the vacation with that Disney feel.
just a thought.....

We used the coupon from Mousesaves to take Happy Limo and a towncar - from the airport. We got in two days early and spent the first at the hotel, the second at Cape Canaveral - so DCL transportation wouldn't work. On the way back, we went to Universal - not a stop DCL transfers make :).

We used OCS both cruise we took. It cost about $275 for an SUV, round trip with tip and one stop from MCO to port and then port to WDW. If you go on limos.com you can get quotes from different places

We have used Happy Limo many times and last time (with a friend instead if dh) she booked with Orlando Sun Transportation. From Disney to PC they are $130 plus tip one way. HL is $135. I just priced them both last night for our Sept cruise. DCL would be cheaper for us with just 3 of us but if we miss lunch on the ship by arriving so late, the cost of buying lunch at the resort negates any savings.

Eta: prices I listed are one way. It may be cheaper each leg when booking rt but we really love the DCL for returning to the airport and using onboard airline check in.

We aren't sailing Disney... We are going on Royal so that is why we can't use their transportation :( we are staying on site before cruise and after too.
