Can someone tell me the difference in the rooms at the Contemporary? When I checked prices I got a standard which I assume is the building the monorail goes through and the the Tower. The Tower is more so what is the advantage of saying there? Thanks for you help.

Standard are in the garden wings. The tower is the building the monorail goes through. Your room in the tower will have a great view of either the Magic Kingdom if you are on that side or Bay Lake (with a view of the pools and the Electrical Light Pagent) if you are on that side.

You are a quick elevator ride down to all the shopping and eating venues as well. We had a tower room with a Magic Kingdom view in December of '03 and loved it!

Standard - in one of the wings, facing the parking lot

Garden - in one of the wings, facing landscaping or Bay Lake or the pool

Tower - the big building in the middle, as others have stated, the one the monorail goes through

Then there are suites. Some are in the wings and some are in the Tower. It gets a bit confusing there, because there are quite a few varieties.
