Fantastic interior shots of the Concourse, J.C.& Ali'sMom! Also glad to see some shots of the seldom-photographed garden wing on this thread -- it deserves more attention.

Michygoomy, great shots of your trip, especially the progress on the "parking garage". Are they really tearing up the popsicle trees? They've been there since I can remember! Thanks for sharing from a fellow Hiassen fan, and still waiting for the photo of your neighbor's shed . . .

They were doing a lot of work every day. I'd be really interested to see what status it is at now. Hopefully someone will come back and post some more pictures of the progress.

Even though it was not the best looking location, I still liked it a lot and thought their selection of food was very good.

Just wanted to say thanks for the terrific photo update of the resort. I agree with others that the entrance to the Wave looks pretty neat. Now, is the Wave on the ground floor near the lobby, or is it one floor up?

It's located in the lobby where the Food & Fun Center use to be.

Thanks, I thought it was down there. I never saw the food and fun center. When I was there it was closed and they were building the Wave. They did such a good job concealing the construction I never figured out quite where it was supposed to go. I'm down to 15 months till my next stay, can't wait to check it out!

OMG!!!!!!! This brought back so many memories of my first CR (WDW stay in fact) stay! I remember going down with refillable mugs, and spending a couple hours in the arcade... Thank you so much!!!!

I don't have any pictures, however I was there in January 2000 when they were closed for a minor renovation and when it was finished I did not see any changes.

Now that would be something to see. I rememeber that place being huge, though I was a lot smaller back then. All the games were a quarter and you could play for hours on half a roll of quarters. I remember playing air hockey there with my sister . . . Was there a little theater off to the right that showed cartoons, or amy I just totally making stuff up now?

I never saw it, however one of my friends told me they use to have that. So no your not making anything up.
