We are a family of 5 and I asked for suggestions on where to stay and the one I hadn't thought of was CR. We have stayed at POR once before and liked it a lot. The room was not very big, but we didn't spend much time there. We did enjoy the quiet pool right outside of our room. Many days we would not go to the parks till noon, so we'd have the pool to ourselves all morning. My question is are the rooms at CR any bigger and what would make me want to stay there over POR, except for the convenience of being beside MK. I have always wanted to stay in a monorail resort, but my ultimate would be the Poly. I just don't want to pay the extra price. Any suggestions would be great!

We've stayed at both resorts and the CR room is certainly larger than POR rooms.

The convenience to the MK plus the monorail make the CR an excellent choice if your budget can handle it.

Good luck with your choice.

I'm a bit confused--if your ultimate stay would be the Poly--why not consider staying there? You'd be paying about the same for a garden view room at the Poly as you would an average room at the CR. Both are deluxes and very, very similar in price and amenities. Both are one the monorail line. :confused3

The CR has bigger rooms, monorail service, great in location to MK. The monorail also makes it easier to get to Epcot.

By far the most magical thing about CR are the views. Being able to sit in your room and watch wishes is just amazing. You feel like you in the middle of the magic. The castle is the first thing you see in the morning and the last thing you see at night. Even if you are on the Bay Lake side or in a wing the views are still great.

overall it's just to extra little things you will get at a deluxe that will make your stay extra magical.
