Has anyone ever stayed in a CR Jr. suite? Is it one room? What is the best rate for it?

Thanks for all your help.

Cathy

Hi,
We stayed in the Contemporary's Jr Suite this past Easter. The room was in the North wing and it was huge. There is actually only the one bedroom w/ queen bed and daybed(similar to a standard room) that is separate from the rest of the living/sleeping area thru a door. This area has queen bed, day bed, pull out sleeper sofa, fridge, dining table w/ 6 chairs and a bathroom w/ 2 sinks plus another balcony. Our view was of bay lake. We loved it and there was plenty of room for our group of 5.

rmontgo described a Deluxe Garden Suite. They are $800+ per night (not sure what the SoG rate is - the military is now opperating the north wing).

Junior Suites are oversized rooms, and have 1 king and a child size daybed. They sleep 2 adults + 1 child + 1 child under age 3.

I stayed in the deluxe garden suite in the north wing last week. The SOG rate was $225 pernight and it was very nice! I know that the junior suites have a max occupancy of three people but the deluxe garden suites can sleep eight.

Our res was originally for a suite at SoG and they moved us to the Contemporary (North Wing) and it was clearly stated as a Junior Suite for $225 per night. It was laid out as I posted. I would actually say it's closer to a 1 bedroom but the living area was imense and had a bed, daybed, and sofa.

It is not $800 a night. The back of the door stated $450-$475 per night but now that I think of it I never checked the door of the separate bedroom.

$800 a night sounds like the full concierge floor where we have stayed also but in a regular room that runs around $500 a night.

Was this the suite you had?

The above floorplan is a Deluxe Garden Suite. Nightly room rates (rack rate - no discounts other than what is booked with SoG apply) are as follows:
Value Season - $755 plus tax
Regular Season - $830 plus tax
Peak Season - $955 plus tax
Holiday Season - $1080 plus tax

Nightly room rates for a Wing Junior Suite ranges from $290 per night plus tax (value season) to $415 per night plus tax (holiday season). These are only oversized rooms where the wings bend, and sleep a maximum of 3.

Tower Concierge rooms are on the 12th and 14th floor. The 12th floor ranges from a low of $385 per night plus tax (value season) to a high of $525 per night plus tax (holiday season). The 14th floor ranges from a low of $465 per night plus tax (value season) to a high of $650 per night plus tax (holiday season).

The suites on the 14th floor of the tower (also the *only* suites in the tower) range from a low of $955 per night plus tax (One Bedroom Lake View, Value Season) to a high of $2335 per night plus tax (Two Bedroom Presidential, Holiday Season).

Yikes! This is exactly the room we had. Thanks for the info! Did you happen to find this on disney's site? Great pics of the floor plan. I didn't realize the room was this much money!! What a bargain for $225, huh? :)

Thanks again,
Roxanne

The floorplan is from the offical Disney site. The Disney web site does not have the suite prices or information, but you can get them from the hotels directly. :)

And, yes, you did get an excellent rate! I was thinking of booking one for my New Year's Trip, and it was going to be $1045/night plus taxes. We later found that part of the group was not going, so we decided on the Tower Club instead (for half the price), which we loved. Now if I could get that suite for $225, I'd always stay there! :)

We have tried both partial and full concierge at the Contemporary and loved it. We are DVC members but still end up "paying" once in awhile. Our next "paying" trip is the Polynesian Concierge in August! We have heard great things and can't wait. After that our next goal is the GF's Main Lodge Concierge. When my parents come with, we use the SoG for a point break too.

Thanks again,
Roxanne

For those who stayed in the Deluxe suites through SOG, do you remember what room # you had? I am trying to get an idea of where in the wing (including floor) one of these suites might be located. Thanks in advance
