We are arriving at the Contemporary in 2 weeks.
Please let me know all the reasons you love staying here!! I can't wait!

the rooms are large. you can walk to and from the MK. It has all kinds of boating possibilities. easy monorail to mk and epcot. great restaurants. my kids love the pool and slide.

I always love walking around the Grand Canyon Concourse (4th floor) and also walking out by the pool and lake. I just love the resort as a whole, and I'm sure you'll have an awesome time!!!

what about walking out to the 4th floor observation deck with a nice cigar and watching the fireworks orwater parade i love doing that.

We didn't stay there, but we boated over for one evening from the Wilderness Lodge. They have a fantastic and very clean arcade. games are cheap and the selection is great for all ages. Great place to kill a little time. Their food court had a much better selection of fresh foods than the Grand Floridian and Wilderness Lodge. Also because Chef Mickey's is an open atrium type restaurant you have various places where you can catch a glimpse of the mouse and friends. Renting mouseboats is a fantastic way to spend an afternoon.

 It will always be my favorite because my family and I spent our first ever WDW vacation there. To us it is home. We love the monorail, Concourse Steakhouse, shopping, boating, Chef Mickey's, swimming, big rooms, Coffee Grounds, watching the fireworks and water parade, California Grille, arcade and walking to MK. When we stay at another resort, we always visit the CR. My DH and I are planning to stay there for our 24th anniversary next May. :cloud9:

Did you bring your cigar or do they have a good cigar store on site?

We LOVE the CR! It's just so cool! Imagine at night coming "home", approaching the CR while you're on the monorail, and seeing it all lit up. It's beautiful. And it's Walt's baby, which makes it extra special for me.

Location, location, location! It's great being able to hop on the monorail. I also thought the shopping in the resort was awesome...more variety than other deluxes!
Michele

Personally, I think that is the best location for spending alot of time at the Magic Kingdom!!! I love that you can walk over if the monorail is busy..
Hope you have a wonderful time!
Are you packed yet?? Lets dance!  :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Never stayed at CR, but we seem to spend a lot of time there on every trip :)

I love the marina area. We've rented mouse boats from there. I love the 4th floor shopping/eating area too. They also have really good pressed penny machines and seem to have some of the friendliest CM's too.

We ate at Chef Mickey's for the first time on our most recent trip and it was SO much fun! The food was really, really good too! We also watched the fireworks from the 4th floor too and it was awesome! Get there early if you want a seat though.

I love the lobby, the arcade, the pool looks great. ENJOY! :wizard:

1. Being able to walk to and from MK in about 10 minutes.

2. Huge room with nice, split bathroom, and a couch that easily conforts into a comfy, twin bed.

3. The arcade.

4. The monorail.

5. Our patio on the lower level of the North Wing. It faced bay lake and had a little beach where the kids liked to play.

6. A small playground.

7. The 4th floor has Chef Mickey's and lots of shops. The Lounge also looked nice though we were unable to stop in for a drink.

8. The price for a standard wing room is very reasonable, compared to the other deluxes.

We just returned tonight!!!

Oh my! Where do I start?

We had the most glorious gift of an upgrade to Tower room looking at the castle!!! :wizard: It was incredible! Even if I were to stay at the Wings I think I'd feel the exact same way! We walked to the MK rather than take the monorail...such a short walk and beautiful mornings!

A very special memory was all of my family (five of us...dh, me, ds-10, dd's-7 & 6) gathered together alone in the second pool watching the fireworks! We had the pool all to ourselves and we just couldn't have asked for a more beautiful moment...We loved watching the fireworks and although the kids really liked Poly and AKL...they say CR is their new favorite. WE LOVED IT!
