Contemporary Hotel Info

We are staying at the Contemporary. A few quesions. I understand it is very close to MK. Can you see the MK fireworks easily from there? I also believe there are at least one or 2 Character meals in the Contemporary. Any info on those?

You will have a great view of the fireworks from the Contemporary. Chef Mickey's is the character meal available at the Resort.

You will love the CR If you have a MK view tower room booked you can watch the fireworks from your balcony. You can also see them from the observation deck on the 4th floor, and if you have an ADR at California Grill, from the observation deck there. You can also see them from the benches in fron of the resort. The character meal is at Chef Mickey's for breakfast and dinner. It books up very quickly, so make your ADR's as soon as you can ( we like breakfast there better than dinner ). Have a great trip!

I agree with what the others said in answer to your questions. Also, WALKING to MK was actually quicker and easier than taking the monorail. We also chose to walk back, though it would have taken about the same time to take the monorail (the monorail loops, MK, then CR, then Poly, TTC, Grand Floridian, then MK again, so if you get on at CR you have to do all the other stops before MK, but if you get on at MK CR is the first stop)

It was so nice to just walk on over to MK, and walk on back! Loved it!

The CR is great. I have been staying there with family since I was a kid and the new generation is starting! (my nephew in AUG 05 said upon seeing it first "look we are home!")

Chef Mickey's is a great character meal (the potatoes at dinner are awesome) and we go out bu the lagoon to the round pool and swim and watch the fireworks!

Thanks for the information. Watching the MK Fireworks from the pool sounds great and we have made Breakfast with Mickey reservations for the day we leave.

When we were there in Oct, we had a first floor wing room, on the side closest to the MK. We were able to see the fireworks from our patio every night! You may want to ask about availability when you check in. Good Luck!!!
