For similar pricing which would you pick?

3 MK days & 1 EP day

Depends on what your parks focus is.

If you plan to just do MK and fireworks, CR-GW. If you also plan to include Epcot, Poly.

CR is more convenient of course, but Poly theming is much better. I would choose Poly over the minimal extra convenience of CR GW.

TBH, Poly is more convenient to Epcot. You can walk to TTC, which means you are taking the Epcot monorail direct back and forth.

CR to Epcot: CR > TTC Transfer > Epcot
CR from Epcot: Epcot > TTC Transfer > Poly > Grand Floridian > MK > CR

If price is the same, I would choose Poly SV hands down over CR GW. Now Poly SV vs. CR Tower is a much harder decision IMO

My choice would be the Poly. We've never stayed at CR, but we love everything about the Poly. The CR is a little more convenient since you can walk back and forth to MK, but the Poly is just 2 monorail stops going to MK and 3 coming back (there's also the boat). Also, you can walk to the TTC from the Poly to catch the Epcot monorail vs taking the monorail from the CR and transferring.

Definitely Poly. We've done both (Poly SV and CR GW-SV) and I felt so removed from the action in the garden wing. I also didn't like how much walking we had to do just to get to the monorail. The longhouses at Poly are much closer to the main building and are such an integral part of the theming.

I'm in the garden wing now and it is something like 2 minutes to get to the monorail.
With multiple MK days that at most 15 minute walk to MK is hard to pass up. Very hard.

I have stayed in both a standard room at the Poly and in the garden wing at the CR. You cannot go wrong at either place...both resorts are amazing. However, if I were facing the choice you are, I would stay at the CR. We LOVED the convenience of walking to and from the MK. The garden wing is a very quick walk to the tower, and it was so quiet and peaceful. It's also easy to get to Epcot...just a quick monorail/transfer away.

Have an amazing time!!

personal prospective, lol, I don't think anyone should stay at CR unless in the tower with a theme park view, LOL...that being said I would definitely pick poly. But that is just me, LOL...we stayed CR-TPV in the Tower in 2014 and I don't think I would book anything else at CR, lol

Poly. The boat ride from the poly will take about the same time as a walk from CR. The Wing is pretty long. It all depends which room you get. I'm just surprised the two are comparable in price. What the price difference to stay in the tower ?

The boat ride back stops at GF first, yes? And if you are hauling stroller you have to fold?

Yes to both questions.

I would still choose the Poly. It is so beautiful and convenient to both parks. It is a tough choice though.

How did you like it? We stayed Poly tpv in '15. Doing CR tpv this year. We are going in December which made my decision easier (since we won't be utilizing the pool), if spring/summer/fall would have returned to Poly...I just felt like in Winter being under one roof for everything, plus watching the Christmas fireworks from our room, would be the better choice.

For 3 MK days, there is no question. Stay at CR. We stayed at the garden wing in January, and loved the ease of walking to and from MK instead of relying on any form of Disney transportation. We also liked how quiet the garden wing was. The rooms are bigger than at Poly, and have a sophisticated feel.

We've stayed at both and prefer CR to Poly. You'll have a blast.

We loved CR TPV...it was very magical and having everything under 1 roof was great too!

For me it depends on how much time you plan on being at the resort. Will you plan meals at the resort restaurants, use the pool, etc.? If you are planning to spend the majority of time at the parks and have 3 days at the MK I would go with CR. If you are planning to spend some time at the resort, especially using the pools, I would definitely go with the Poly. While we have stayed at both and like them, the Poly is our favorite; however, we also spend a good deal of our time at the resort.
