Contemporary Dec 3-5 - all booked????

My husband and I finally made the decision to splurge on our trip for Dec 3-Dec 5 and were hoping to book a room at the Contemporary. When I called, they said that there were no rooms at all available. The CM told me that the rooms were being held by the conference dept.

Does anyone have any additional info about this? Any chance that some rooms will get released so we can get a reservation? The CM said to keep calling back just in case a conference gets cancelled. Do I really have any hope here?

The Contempory would be my last choice of deluxe Hotels for WDW.

It just does'nt seem to have a theme ..IMHO

I love the Comtemporary, it's my favorite. I would try booking at another resort (just to be safe) and keep trying for CR. It's great to be on monorail and you can walk to MK. Not sure rate for Poly, but Wilderness Lodge would also be good choice. What about Swan or Dolphin,(www.wdwig.com for info) close to Epcot and you can normally get good rates. Good luck and I hope u get Comtemporary!

I did see another poster mention this too a while back. Just wanted to add a ps to what the other poster said, that week also is a big conference at the swan, its over, but dont know how many people will be staying for the week end. I was actually planning on switching over to a monorail resort because of the regis and kelly christmas parade filming at mk, but maybe we will stay put at the swan, we were already at the poly in april, so I would say, keep a plan B in mind too.Good luck.

I had forgotten to check out Swan and Dolphin. I got an AAA rate at the Yacht club which I have reserved now. I will have to check out the rates at the Swan and Dolphin.
