Going in August and planning on CL so we can do the fee and get the extra FPs.

Looking at the Contemporary, Polynesian and AKL. Cost wise Savanna CL at AKL is best price but cons are CL rooms on different floor than lounge and distance to most parks from hotel. I've heard busses are slow although we would drive and even then time driving is factor.

Polynesian CL would do Garden view. Beautiful resort, stayed there TPV CL years ago and I grew up staying there. Lounge in same building, can walk to TTC. Monorail at resort. Cons parking lot was a nightmare years ago trying to get a spot at times.

Contemporary Bay Lake View CL. Stayed standard TPV last August and loved location! We could walk to MK. Drive to other parks easy, took monorail to TTC and got monorail to Epcot. Cons cost.

This is my 21 year old son and myself. We have no issues walking distance. Looking for insight on choices. If you have specifically stayed CL recently at one of these resorts opinions greatly appreciated. Our CL experience was 15 years ago! Cost difference is $400 more for Polynesian $700 for Contemporary. Last mom son trip and my DS is paying.

I've stayed CL at all three and, of the three, I would pick Poly. CR offers convenience to MK and that's about it, IMHO. I certainly wouldn't spend $700 more to stay there over AKL. AKL is lovely, but, yes, it's not terribly convenient to 3 of the parks and I wasn't particularly fond of having our room so far from the lounge. I think Poly is a great pick. You'll have a beautiful room on the quieter side of Hawaii, the lounge is right in the Hawaii longhouse with a great view and you'll have the monorail plus the walk to TTC making it very convenient for EP and MK. You'll only have to drive or bus to AK and DHS.
