CONTEMPORARY Announcement

Hi - I just got back from WDW and while we were there a monorail driver told us that the Cont. DVC was officially announced a week prior. I don't see any threads on here about it but I know someone will know the answer 100% on these boards!

Also, she said that another big announcement is scheduled for this week and the monorail staff is hoping that it is a monorail spur, but that it could be anything, possibly a new attraction but they are keeping their fingers crossed.

Oh yes...those monorail drivers! They are almost as reliable as the boat captains. We are still waiting for the monorail to be built right through the Swan and Dolphin! LOL!

No official announcement has been made yet.

I've found many Disney CM's to be a notorious source of false rumors and misinformation.

I take whatever I hear from a CM with a grain of salt.

As of 3/25 our guide still could not confirm or deny the KT announcement, but in a couple of months supposedly SSR will be sold out, so maybe then we will hear something.

Like tigerrr, I think the driver was probably talking about the article in the Orlando Sentinel. We were lucky enough to get the front of the MK monorail the morning the article appeared. Our driver was glad that the article had been published as he was tired of not being able to answer questions about the construction. I suppose at least now he can relate what the newspaper claimed.
Still no official word one way or the other.

my guide still denies any knowledge of an "unoffical call list" for future resorts, said we all have an equal footing on new offerings despite what the other guides may be promising. guess i'll find out if he's blowing smoke when CR is announced.
