Contemporary - a few quick questions

1)Does anyone know the times for campfires here and the movies? Or can you point me where to find them.

2)best spot to view Water pageant and fireworks (other than our balcony - or is it the best spot)?

3)can we use the pool at Bay Towers (or other things there for that matter)?

4)any cost to take water transportation? where all does it go? about how long does it take to FW?

5)ride or walk to MK and about how long to expect for that?

6)any other tips for a family of 3 small boys staying here?

I can only answer question 5 and 6, but someone else will for sure take care of the rest!

5) WALK! As long as the boys can make it, its a quick 5-8 minute walk depending on your pace, not bad at all.
6) Make sure you spend some time in the arcade, tons of games to play and it is a great way to stay cool for a little while.

1- Not sure, never did those at CR.
2- MK fireworks can be viewed from your room's balcony if you have a theme park view, or from the 4th floor public balcony at the north end of the tower. We watched the EWP from the boat dock out by the main CR pool.
3- No, you cannot use the pool at BLT unless you are staying there.
4- There is no cost to use WDW transportation (boats, monorails, buses).
5- Walk takes about 10 minutes or less depending on your start point.
6- Have fun!

The gift shops carry tons of snacks, so you'll have no problem find things for your room. If you think you'll need a significant amount of snacks/food/drinks for the room, consider a grocery delivery service like GardenGrocer.com. Gift shop prices can be steep.

There is a store located at the north end of the 4th floor across from the Fantasia gift shop. They have a lot of grocery items - snacks, drinks, etc. - as well as souvenirs.

Order groceries from Garden Grocer. We did this last trip and it was the best thing we've ever done. So much cheaper than paying gift shop prices, and they deliver directly to your resort.

1- The campfires are usually around 7:30 and the movies around 9:00. They will give you a schedule when you check in.
2- You can watch the water pageant from anywhere around the pool/marina area (or your room if you have a Bay Lake view). If you don't have a theme park view for fireworks, you can go to the balcony on the 4th floor - although this tends to get crowded. You can take the elevator upstairs to some of the floors and go out the end door (facing MK). It's a beautiful view from out there, less crowded and they pipe the music in also. Just make sure to bring something to put in the door (newspaper etc) because it will lock when closed (otherwise you will need to go down the steps - we did that a few times because some people don't realize there is something in the door and close it anyway!!).
3- No, you can't use the BLT pool.
4- The water transportation is complimentary. It goes to MK (and I think the Poly/GF - sorry, don't remember). It also goes to the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness. The trip to FW isn't long but the boats can arrive every 20 minutes or so - so you should give yourself at least 45 minutes to get there especially if you're going to HDD.
5- The walk to MK is about 10 minutes. The monorail takes a bit longer because it stops at the T&T, Poly and GF before getting to MK. Although if your boys are anything like my son - we stay at the Contemporary for 1 reason only - the monorail goes thru the lobby!! Walking is not an option (and he's 15 now and still fascinated by it!!!!).
6- Just enjoy yourself and your boys! It all goes by too quickly.

There are a ton of great photos, including ones of the Fantasia Market that I mentioned. Aurora is right - they are pricy - but they have a lot and it's very convenient.
