Can I order a meal there when not staying there?
If yes….what do I show the guard at the front gate?

My understanding is that if you arrive through Disney transportation that the answer is yes you can go to the Contempo Cafe. Although I've seen on some days a pop up on the app saying only resort guests can use the mobile order feature. I do not believe right now you can self park at the Contemporary to go to quick service, the guards won't let you through.

If you are using this as a way to walk over to MK from the Contemporary, no, they will not let you in if arriving by rideshare. If you arrive via Disney transportation, you can certainly order from there.

My daughter was not allowed to go in and park her car for a Mobile order she wanted at Rivera Resort last week.
They told her dining reservations only.
