Considering our options...party of six..may get two connecting rooms over the FW cabins. Which one would you pick: the Contemp. or OKW studios or Wilderness Lodge?

If you are a party of six, you should really consider the Villas at Wilderness lodge, or OKW....

You can get a one bedroom which includes a FULL Kitchen and a washer and dryer.

We travel with two little girls, and the W/D and Kitchen are a must!

The price for a 1BR is not cheap- but it is better than two connceting rooms. Have you considered the DVC? If you like travelling to disney, you may really enjoy the DVC.

It would depend on what I was wanting....

If transportation was the most important thing to me...I'd stay at the Contemporary. If I didn't mind a few bus rides and I liked the rustic, woodsy theme I'd stay at the WL. Btw, we did stay at WL last Christmas and absolutely loved it! The transportation was excellent and much better than what we experienced at OKW on our trip 2 weeks ago.

If you want a laid back, out of the way atmosphere then OKW is wonderful. I don't know if you have young children or not, but the pool at OKW is just a pool. We really enjoyed it, but it is pretty removed from the "action".

Also, a studio won't hold 6 people nor will a 1 bedroom. For 6 people you'd need a 2 br villa.

OKW is just too far removed for my family. The busses seem to come less frequently here than the other resorts, and they then make several stops within the resort. I like this place, and it does offer spacious accomodations, but it feels too remote to me.

You won't get any flames from me. I agree about the OKW bus service. It was the only major complaint I had, but it was enough to keep us from staying there again when we're planning a lot of park time. Being "remote" didn't bother me, but not being able to get to the parks on EE days by the park opening time got very frustrating.

If I was going back and staying at our resort a lot, OKW would be my first choice.

If it's in your budget, a 2bdrm villa at OKW or WLV's is definetly a great choice - however, for most people this is quite pricey and as Peachgirl mentioned, a studio or 1bdrm villa only accomodate up to 4 people. You may want to check out the DVC RENT/TRADE board though as it is sometimes a more affordable option if paying cash for a stay in the DVC villas.;)

All that being said -- the most affordable choices would either be 2 rooms at a regular Disney resort or the FW cabins.
