Just out of curiosity, do any of the resorts have connecting studio rooms? Or are they only connected to one bedrooms to make a 2 bedroom lock-off?

Plus, in some resorts, there are studios that do not connect to anything (they are dedicated studios).

As noted, only the Poly and that is not a guaranteed reservation.

You are correct at all DVC resorts other that PVB if the studio connects to another room it is a 1BR so the room can be booked at a 2BR lockoff or the two rooms booked separately as a studio and 1BR. I know that BWVs and AKV-Jambo House have dedicated studios, but they are very limited in number.

Vero Beach also does have a few connecting Inn rooms. Similar to connecting studios albeit not actually studios connecting. But it and Poly are the only two resorts that have the smallest villas that connect. Otherwise it's studios connecting to 1BR's at all others. And, at Poly the studio connecting to a 1BR isn't an option since they don't have 1BR's. It is a unique resort in that all but 2 of the studios there connect to another studio so if you requesting connecting studios there so it's about as close to a guarantee without actually being guaranteed as any request ever will be with DVC.

I've been told that VB does for the Inn Rooms but am not certain.

We have had side by side studios twice now at bwv. Not connecting, but right next to each other. One set of studios was pool/garden view and overlooked the clown slide and the other set were boardwalk view studios.

Good to know :)

Wouldn't that have been across the hall from each other? There aren't any Boardwalk view studios on the same side that would see the clown pool.

I think @cvjw meant one time the two studios saw the pool area and a different time the two studios looked out on the boardwalk

My post said we had studios next to each other two separate times.

In March we had two Boardwalk view studios right next to each other. These overlooked the boardwalk.

Years ago, before buying dvc, we rented points for two pool/garden studios that were right next to each other. These are the ones that overlooked the clown pool.

No Boardwalk view studios look at the clown pool.

If you look at a room layout map of bwv, you will see that there are several sets of studios that are right next to each other. Not connecting, just adjacent to each other.

Yes, I misread your post. My apologies.

We had connecting inn rooms with my FIL one visit. It was great. Even more so that he used his points and we used ours, just asked for rooms to be near each other.
