Cont. on points/upgrade to concierge using $$$?

Hi. We are using points to stay at CR Tower. Has anyone ever upgraded to concierge (either one) using cash at check in? If so, approximately how much did it cost? Thanks for info.

We have done this at the Animal Kingdom Lodge so I'm guessing it would also be possible at the Contemporary, provided a concierge room is available. It was about $100 per night to upgrade to the concierge level at AKL.

Last summer we stayed at the contemporary in a tower room on DVC points and when I tried to upgrade (on the phone before we arrived and in person when we got there) I was told that, although they had rooms available, because we were DVC using points, we could not upgrade because the points do not have a monitary value, so they can not charge an upgrade price. Mama2sean call the contemporary and ask them if they will upgrade.
