We just got back from our 5 days at Disney. We went to each park one day, and then one day at Disney Springs, calling POR home. I knew POR's pool was undergoing referb, but it seemed like everywhere we went was construction, construction, construction. Don't get me wrong, we had a great time, but construction in the center of AK, construction at Norway Epcot, construction at Disney Springs, a giant crane at the castle in Magic Kingdom. The only place I didn't see construction was at Hollywood Studios, where I expected to see it! I know there are great things to come but that crane in all my castle photos was just not magical.

Hope it's better next trip.

That might take a while though. However, optimistically, think of what is to come:) Now, you want to talk about bad construction, what about road construction? It's getting worse here; my commute just increased by 10-15 minutes last week due to road construction until September. I don't know if the final results will be as good as what they will be at Disney:( I am actually looking forward to the Disney changes, but I will have to endure the construction in a little over a week too.

the castle crane is still there??? wow.... it's been so long.....

Disney is in a building/maintenance blitz right now and it is very much needed. This is also the best time of year for them to do it due to historically lower crowds and many of these are long term projects that are simply going to take an extended period of time. If we want improvements, then we deal with the construction.

I mean, think how great it will be when all of these projects are done!
Then people can stop talking about how "stale" everything is, right?

Progress = Construction

I don't really see a way around it. :confused3

people want to go to bed at night and the fairies go out at night and build things and then wake up in the morning and at all be done, I mean this is disney after all. yes I am just joking I was there last week ( go about once a month) and I do not remember a time there was not some contortion going on.

Think of it as a sign of progress! Building something now so when you return again there's a new experience.
