Yay!!! I saw that they expanded MK's hours on Feb 28th to 1am. Odd, since it's a traditionally slow week (sandwiched between President's week and Mardi Gras week) and I wondered if they were planning an event for the Mine Train. AP/media debut or something. (NOTE: previous was complete speculation. I have no info nor have I heard anything. I'm basically making things up.)

This gives me some hope we may have some soft openings soon!!

Note that these are only the walls along the BatB side of the ride, mainly around the bridge. The queue area and the side nearest Storybook Circus are still not complete so it will probably be some time before those walls come down. Based on the work left to do I would say we are still at least 3 to 4 weeks minimum from a soft opening.

Thanks for the update! I may visit WDW between March 7 and March 15, but right now I am going on the assumption the Mine Coaster will not open until after that. I might just miss the "soft" opening by a week or so!

I agree with that time frame and I was aware of that forgot to put it in my post tho. Queue is really where the most work left is being done.

Just back from MK this evening. The side without walls looks awesome, but construction on the other side is far from over. Hoping to be able to catch soft opening whenever it happens.
