Construction on I-75 thru Georgia?

I came through from Tifton, GA to Ocala on Thursday--LOTS of construction, in Georgia, but the traffic was moving well. The speed limits are reduced (but not entirely obeyed ), and there were quite a few state patrolmen (apparently looking for the serious offenders). I can't remember where I ran out of the construction, but it was probably around the state line. Hope this helps some.

Thanks.. We are leaving Thursday afternoon, will be in southern Georgia around before sunrise, so hopefully the traffic isn't too awful..

Last time we went for Easter the traffic was heavy in during the middle of the night, we are hoping to be in Florida by 7:00 AM when it would be expected that traffic would pick up..

Lots of construction I-75 south in GA. If my memory serves correctly from last Thursday...one spot north of Atlanta and 5-6 spots in southern GA with many of them for miles and miles plus lane lane reductions or make shift right lane where trucks must drive in the left lane. Looks like they are widening I-75 to 3 lanes all the way through - it will be great when completed.

Yes, watch for plenty more officer friendlies than usual.

Also, they are setup for nighttime work, too.

Drive safely - don't ruin the vacation before it starts.
